Memoir writing appeals to those who want to record their family’s history for future generations.
But going a step further and psychologically analysing the story of your life can have surprising benefits, including:
- Making peace with traumas of the past,
- Increased self awareness and insight,
- Learning valuable lessons about life, and
- Planning for the years ahead.
In this 2.5 hour practical workshop, Peter Quarry will describe the benefits of writing a psychological memoir, and provide hands-on skills and techniques for doing so, based on the contents of his 2022 book, ‘IF I WERE YOU – A psychologist puts himself on the couch’.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have the motivation, skills and a plan to tackle their own memoir project.
